One of the things I really appreciate about this Taiji program is that my knees have stopped hurting. Eighteen days of flexing my knees, and balancing my weight on one foot, and similar work has taken a lot of pressure off my knees somehow, because they’re no longer creaking and groaning.
The other thing is that I kicked up into a high kick at one point in the form, and I realized I could stay there a while. I was somehow in exactly the right posture — and I stayed there for several breaths. Balance and healing.
During meditation there was this same sense of “awakeness” there was yesterday. It was not precisely the same sensation — part of it was the memory of yesterday, rather than the active experience of today. But it wasn’t just the sense memory of yesterday either. Somewhere between memory and sensation. Hmmm.
