This blog started out as a project in epic poetry.  It’s an open question whether any of that effort succeeded.  The fragments of that original work, set in the world of Orien (a land of islands far away from any other solid land; or perhaps planets spinning in orbits, in a far solar system; or perhaps a world of continents whose inhabitants are far more interested in the ocean between them than in the lands they inhabit?) are listed here, more or less in chronological order.
