Show Notes
It was an awfully tricky day, but I managed to get the episode out the door. One of the things that’s been challenging around quarantine, or rather ‘social distancing’ is the vast number of things that genuinely need doing now that I’m at home all the time. And the podcast, while important, has not been at the forefront of my mind.
This episode, though, really reveals a number of important elements of the art of memory, and how it was conceived-of, in the middle ages and renaissance: a tool of the intelligentsia, to make sense of the world through cultivated faculties of imagination. Kind of brilliant.
