Floor work is the name given in lodge-style group process for moving around the room. THat’s what today’s tai chi felt like: moving around the room. In the course of a good tai chi practice, all of the corners are visited. In the course of a great tai chi practice, all of the midpoints of each side of the room, and all of the corners, are visited. Today was somewhere between good and great. Slightly mind-altering, even.
I don’t have much to say beyond that. Twelve push-ups, then some work on relaxing my back and shoulders, then 18 push-ups for a total of thirty. Thirty squats. Two iterations of the tai chi form. Eight Pieces of Silk. Druidry before all of that.
It’s enough.
