Today, as I did the form, I found that if I wait on each posture I can feel a building tension in my musculature and fascia. This tension appears to be useful; it’s what’s released as pressure in the attack as the body moves from one posture to the next. I’ll be trying to experiment with this over the next few days.
Some of this tension wound up in my left calf, though, and that hasn’t released yet, even half-an-hour later. I can feel it waiting to spring. There. I think I got it to relax. So perhaps there’s also some challenges or risks to holding this kind of tension? It’s hard to be sure.
I don’t have a lot of time to write today, so this is about it until much later.
