I forgot to note my starting time this morning, and so I only have my ending time for judging, but I think that I moved slowly through most of the tai chi form. The exercise of really concentrating on the breath has helped. By focusing on the movement of air, in and out, on each successive posture or position, I have been able to lengthen the time that the form takes to do.
There was a section in the form today where I rushed, but by grabbing hold of the breathing pattern again, I was able to still and calm myself and reorient to the original pace of movement for the last third-to-half.
I’m reconfirming that I don’t know the second half of the form as thoroughly as I know the first half. I get lost in it much more easily.
