There are five swallowtail movements in the tai chi form I do. In retrospect, I’m not sure why I never bothered to count them before. But it means that there’s an easy breakdown into days of the week, with a lighter schedule, in general, on the days when I’m busy at work and need to be in early; and more intense workouts on days when I don’t need to be in as early and can take my time.
Each of them is also followed by enough of a sequence to use as the intense workout of the day:
The shortest two are three and four, and those are important enough to do intensely twice a week, or to combine into a single sequence. but all in all, it’s not a bad idea.
