Tai chi Y2D4

Well. I just did the tai chi form (not the two qigong forms) at a speed where I maintained each distinct, bearable posture for a 4-count breath. I’m a little trembly right now. And it took an hour, or nearly so.

I tried doing this a couple of times back in year one, and usually failed, or at least, I pulled back in fear from doing it at that intensity every day. Still, here’s the potential of the form, I think: to move that slowly requires a currently-intense amount of focus — to remember where I am in the form overall, to hold the posture, and to maintain breathing in the correct way. There’s also the time investment.

Phew. It’s a little unnerving.
