In the middle of snake creeps down, I coughed. And after that, I couldn’t get into the right breathing rhythm. The result was a combination of awkwardness and elegance. Physical motion was correct — but the internal breath work was “wrong”.
Except it wasn’t. There are discoveries to be made in accidents, and the discovery is that the energy flows differently when the breath is one way instead of another. These sorts of discoveries are not to be spurned, especially by the solo practitioner. We must derive insight from accidents, both happy and unfortunate, because the teacher does not correct our errors. We are both teacher and student.
