Getting Noticed?

This post on Esoteric vs. Exoteric has been catching a lot of notice lately; apparently people are searching for it and finding it.  It’s one of my posts that keeps getting a consistent number of hits — three hits in a day.  A break of a week or so, then one hit, then a few days later three more.  I wonder if it’s the same people looking for (and finding) this particular post, or if it’s one of those word-of-mouth writings that attracts notice through back channels.

Re-reading it, I understand the attraction to a small audience, but don’t understand the persistent attraction.  Do you?  Do you really need to be reminded to make your classes about experiences, rather than than right and wrong answers?

I take that back. I need to be reminded of that all the time.  Help me remember, folks. Keep visiting this entry, and reminding me to review what I’ve already ‘learned.’

  1. Do you have Google analytics on your blog? You could find out how people are finding that particular entry.

A word of caution – it might not be what you think! I have a post on my blog about the 40th anniversary of the invention of the Logo programming language titled “Happy Birthday Logo!”. I’d love to think that the huge views of this post signaled a resurgence of interest in programming in schools. But based on the keywords shown by Google Analytics, I know it’s people looking for birthday clip art!
