NECC ’09: Idea for next year

As a result of my experiences at NECC 2009, it almost seems like we need a series of round-tables, in which 8-12 educators can sit around a table with their computers and share ideas about how to improve beyond the BYOL laptop introductory level. I’m familiar with many of the technologies I’ve blogged about today… what I’m less familar with is how to introduce them in the classroom and how to make them function as the teaching and learning environment. That’s what I came to NECC to get, and exactly what I feel I didn’t get.

In a sense, though, I did get ‘certification’ and ‘confirmation’ that these tools can be used, are used, and should be used, in the classroom and for learning generally, and that may be the most valuable takeback I bring to my school and classes.
