I finished the “sea creatures” quilt yesterday. It’s a great size for cuddling up in front of the tv and watching old movies. The back is big swaths of “star” fabric; and whales in blue, red and white ; with a border of whales in flannel. All 100% cotton fabrics, too. 
The quilt top is more variegated. Gray octopodes swim in close proximity to seal and sealions in a checkered gray pattern. Close at hand, sharks help make the transition to more tropical and floral fabrics where sea turtles and angel fish dart. A broad border of more whale fabrics is further enclosed by a narrower border of sailboats at sea.
On the whole, I’m quite happy with it.
