Taiji Day 122: Keeping at It

I rolled awake at 6:30 this morning, wrote down my dream, and then got up and went to work. THere’s something about the tai chi — today, five golden coins, then eight pieces of silk, and then the form — that changes me in some fashion. I feel relatively clean or ordinary when I wake up, and by the time I’m done with the three forms I’m doing, it feels like I’m covered in a light layer of grease.

This sounds more disgusting than it actually feels like. I’ve been talking about sweating in this heat the last few days, but it’s actually more subtle than a full-on sweat. It feels more like I’ve exuded a layer of nasties that had been lurking under the skin, but are now in a place where they can easily be washed away. I feel cleaner, after a shower after tai chi, than I feel just taking a shower.
