Another video about writing in the past tense. The text of this particular assignment looked egregious already, and I tweaked it to make it even more so. I fumbled a little at the end, because I knocked over my notes and couldn’t read the date of Texas’s annexation into the Union. But the basic principles remain the same: Write history papers in the past tense, and write with three years or dates in each paragraph to help frame the time period about which you’re writing.
