Farmers’ Market, Bush-Holley House, Cos Cob, CT

There’s a new farmers’ market near my mom, at the Bush-Holley House in Cos Cob, Connecticut. Childe Hassam, J. Alden Weir and a number of other Connecticut River School painters of the American Impressionist movement worked there in the 1880s and 1890s. It felt good to be working in their metaphorical shadow.
