Let’s face it… November is too hectic a month for most teachers.  We’re busy with school, and we get about 20,000 words into National Novel Writing Month, and fall apart because we’re giving and grading exams, writing final comments for our students, engaging in last-minute teaching programs, or otherwise losing track of what we’re doing.

This June, let’s change all that.  Begin Teachers’ National Novel Writing Month on the first day of your summer vacation, whatever day it is.  Start writing 1667 words a day or more, and try to get to 50,000 words before the end of June — definitely by the middle of July.  You can do it.
