The Sun enters Taurus II, The Lingam Yoni, on April 30 at 4:04 am EDT. The Sun will pass through this decan for ten days, eight hours and forty-seven minutes, arriving at 20° Taurus 00′ at 11:49 am EDT on 10 May 2026. Austin Coppock chose this name for this decan, but T. Susan Chang, in her book 36 Secrets, called it Mysteries at the Threshold as she explored the relationship between this decan and the Six of Pentacles in the Tarot.

The ancient Greeks apparently looked to The Horae, or Hours, at this time of year. While the name of this triad of goddesses translates literally as “the hours”, they’re more accurately recognized as the “Seasons.” Described as the elder sisters of the Moirai, the rather-more-familiar Fates (who spin the thread of life, measure it and cut it), it is the Horae who order and shepherd the constellations and move them pasture to pasture to bring on the seasons. In older Greek sources, their names are Thallo or blooming, Auxo or increase, and Carpo or fruiting — which we might recognize as the seasons of spring, summer and autumn/harvest. Yet a more urbane and abstract theology gradually evolved them by the Hellenistic era of Alexander the Great and Julius Caesar into guardians of social order and its norms: Dike or justice, Eunomia or good order, and Eirene or peace. It’s hard to tell at times whether the ancient Greeks personified and anthropomorphized these goddesses the way that modern pagans might — but it is absolutely the case that they regarded these deities as the invisible forces that literally ripened the grapes on the vine, or kept people from killing one another in the streets. They’re prosperity deities, of course — but it’s the prosperity of both fertile farmland and the social order that keeps mortals from engaging in constant interpersonal violence for the sake of individual survival. You and I both live in a social milleu, to paraphrase an old USDA poster, where we’re dependent on six inches of topsoil and regular rainfall. But we’re also dependent on a social order that has standard weights and measures, a common clock and calendar — and the expectation that you won’t have to duel someone to the death for your dinner tonight. We’re still dependent on the Horae, even if we don’t worship them as often as we should.
Austin Coppock, in naming this decan The Lingam Yoni, was trying to get at the nature of its autonomy and immediacy when describing its agency. The Moon passes through this decan immediately after her exaltation degree, and has a great deal of immediate luxuriance in this sign by virtue of being a triplicity ruler of Earth signs — a desire is expressed and it is almost immediately fulfilled. Yet the Sun in this decan reminds us to examine the desires rather than to simply fulfill them immediately: is this healthy or unhealthy? needful or wasteful? indulgent or spoiling? Are we receiving what we want, or merely taking what is available?
I’ve written about this decan before, in 2025 – 2024 – 2023 – 2022 – 2021 – 2020.

House Delineations
The First House of self and self-presentation is Pisces, ruled by trining and exalted Jupiter in Cancer. The Water triplicity rulers are inconjunct (Mars, Moon) or square (Venus). The North Node is present. Your personal desires and willingness to be seen and recognized is likely to be on display. Yet it is your fun loving side rather than your professionalism that is likely to be noticed first. Be cautious about being too open about your money issues, or your frustrations with your obligations — those are temporary issues, but you don’t want them to be thought of as part of your personality.
The Second House of money and possessions is Aries, ruled by present Mars. The Fire triplicity rulers are inconjunct (Sun), present (Saturn) or square (Jupiter). Neptune and Mercury are also present. Financial stability may burn away quite suddenly in the next 10 days, so be prompt about throwing cold water on unintentional sparks. Communicate your desires clearly to others, but be prepared to put the brakes on big vision.
The Third House of extended family and intimate friends is Taurus, ruled by inconjunct Venus. The Earth triplicity rulers are all inconjunct. The Sun is present. Shine some light on your inner circle? Are you sharing your confidences and earthly concerns with the right people? Are you trustworthy with the down-to-earth realities that have been consigned to your care?
The Fourth House of home, household, and parents is Gemini, ruled by sextile Mercury in Aries. The Air triplicity rulers are sextile (Saturn, Mercury) or inconjunct (Jupiter). Uranus, Venus, and the Lunar Perigee are present. Your home may be in need of some intelligent updating — but be wary of drastic upheavals you can’t necessarily pay for with existing resources.
The Fifth House of pleasures and pastimes is Cancer, ruled by the squaring Moon in Libra. Exalted Jupiter is present. The Water triplicity rulers are square (Mars, Moon) or inconjunct (Venus). Find ways to enjoy yourself, and allow yourself the emotions of contentment and happiness. Speak these recognitions aloud. Continue to pursue hobbies.
The Sixth House of daily routines, pets, and injuries is Leo, ruled by the squaring Sun in Taurus. The Fire triplicity rulers are square (Sun), trine (Saturn) or inconjunct (Jupiter). Make an effort to show off daily what you have achieved, even if you only do so with a relatively small inner circle. Be careful about sharing with the multitude.
The Seventh House of spouse, peer partners, and rivals is Virgo, ruled by inconjunct Mercury. The Earth Triplicity rulers are inconjunct (Mars, Moon) or square (Venus). The South Node is present. Relationship issues may not be able to stand sustained analysis at the moment. Efforts to prune problematic behaviors or nip challenging issues in the bud, are likely to get messy. Exhuming ancient matters is not likely to go well.
The Eighth House of obligation, duty and legacy is Libra, ruled by trining Venus in Gemini. The Air triplicity rulers are opposed (Saturn, Mercury) or square (Jupiter). The Moon and the Lot of Fortune are present. Fear of financial difficulty is likely to prevent you from taking on new responsibilities. You may be in a bit of emotional spiraling, or even the whirlwind. Even so, take on projects that offend your sense of injustice.
The Ninth House of higher learning and long-distance travel is Scorpio, ruled by inconjunct but ruling Mars in Aries. The Water triplicity rulers are inconjunct (Mars, Venus, Moon). Learning is valuable, but learning new things in secret will allow you to bring forth delightful surprises. Just recognize that you are mostly on your own when far from home these days, and that help is unlikely to be found until after you’ve extricated yourself from your own jam.
The Tenth House of career and professional reputation is Sagittarius, ruled by inconjunct but exalted Jupiter. The Fire triplicity rulers are inconjunct (Jupiter, Sun) or trine (Saturn). The Lunar Perigee is present. You may be doing it at work, and it is time to break away from certain routines in favor of something more like 60% of normal. Be creative in how you communicate with clients, and also be prepared to leave you alone. Expect that you will not receive as much in commission as you would like.
The Eleventh House of friends, associates, and allies is Capricorn, ruled by squaring and exiled Saturn in Aries. The Earth triplicity rulers are square (Mars, Moon) or inconjunct (Venus). Financial worries may keep you at home, instead of out at that new underground bar. You face certain economic restrictions. Consider carefully who you should invite for a social and intellectual night at home.
The Twelfth House of both obstacles and opportunities is Aquarius, ruled by sextile Saturn exiled in Aries. The Air triplicity rulers are sextile (Saturn, Mercury) or inconjunct (Jupiter). Pluto is present. Ugly realities about your financial situation may surface. You may have to ask friends for their forbearance as you deal with certain technical challenges. What are you sick of, and what would you like to realign in your life?

I recommend reading your Sun sign, Moon sign, and Rising sign for best results. I write them with rising sign in mind, but several people have told me they find that they do better with all three.
Pisces: If ever there were a week to ask for more, this is a week to do it. Expect the path to getting there to be somewhat long and winding, but be clear about what you desire and what you need — and be prepared to itemize your list clearly and without hesitation. Financial complications require you to do battle not just for yourself but for your whole household — and diplomatically acknowledging that what you need has to support a household is likely to stir some feathers, but also likely to help your emotional life circle without spinning aimlessly. You have great freedom in choosing which responsibilities you have, but you have to commit to them once you know them.
Aries: Financial hardships require clear explanations and annotated receipts this week; record your data and take note of the defense you must make of your house and home. Allow yourself an expansive definition of family, and tactfully include more than just yourself, parents, and siblings. You have many opportunities to balance arrangements between yourself and a spouse, but there may be some need to use forbearance and tender heartedness when you push up your side of the scale.
Taurus: Familial and neighborly questions may require immediate and rational attention this week. Yet long-term concerns around resources and energy may cause you to rage without communicating clearly, or to shut down and whine about matters beyond your control. Some creative and tactful discussions about what you can truly afford and what you can’t are likely needed. Be kind to a sibling in need — but recognize that you don’t need to justify spending time with your friends even if your days seem difficult. Your professional work explodes in ways that require you to express honest critiques of existing systems.
Gemini: Home, household and family become an intellectual nesting ground this week, although one that may be subject to considerable coming and going even as you do “normal stuff”. Contentment comes from cutting through red tape around old projects, and getting them done. Your long-term plans could use some tender loving care: do what you can immediately, then figure out how to do the rest. Friends and acquaintances hit hard times and want to do little other than whinge about it — your commentary and responses may be rational, but may miss the mark emotionally when you focus too much on what used to be true.
Cancer: If you have children, affording them some generous shelter from worldly issues may be a vital part of this week’s program. If you don’t, it’s important for you to have a way to shelter yourself: cooking, baking bread, mending clothes or other slow hobby work that consumes your attention would be beneficial. Your creative responses to the moment’s upheavals will bring greater pleasure than highlighting your friends’ errors in analyzing the world’s problems. Besides, your workplace will have arguments and challenges enough, as there suddenly aren’t enough resources to do all that you believe you should. Plan to scale back in the face of the current issues — businesses can cut costs or increase revenue, and you may have to do both this week.
Leo: Daily habits should be under review this week, especially in the workplace and with your inner circle of friends there. A professional peer may offer criticism of your efforts that may be emotionally wrecking — or could free you from self-imposed limitations if you take the right lessons to heart. Long-term plans based in pursuit of happiness shouldn’t be shared widely until they’re enacted. Help your friends over sudden and unexpected bumps in the road; do what you can to solve your boss’s immediate worries. Travel plans may require considerable readjustment.
Virgo: A long-expected argument with a spouse or significant other may take root and burst from long-forgotten ground this week, as a question of how to use shared resources and to manage ongoing concerns bubbles over. Your peer and partner may genuinely need more right now, but there will also be questions and concerns about how they’re using what they already have — even as you struggle to manage on what you’re currently using. Daily habits may come in for criticism, but your experience and ability to pluck unexplainable insights into work processes can lead to creative breakthroughs. Be cautious in allowing your comprehension to be turned into new duties that you’re not compensated for.
Libra: You’re likely to be offered new responsibilities that, on the surface, feel deeply unbalanced and improperly compensated. You’re likely correct — but arguing about it now will only lead to trouble. It’s best to have these conversations privately with one or two supervisors, and then memorialize them in writing to be addressed at a later time. Learn how to do the new job with grace and ease, then circle back later to win the compensation package that should accompany them. Start to create the paper trail you need in order to get those concessions and address concerns later on. An argument with a child rarely makes the adult look good; temper criticisms with honorable praise.
Scorpio: You may have travel, or some new learning experience in mind — but putting effort into achieving it may be difficult in the face of your current daily grind. Enlisting a spouse or significant other into the idea of shenanigans or a road trip in late May or early June may land better than an escape right now. There’s likely to be considerable pressure on your quotidian routines, but you may have creative endeavors at home which really need some uninterrupted attention. Scheduling your time for the long-term is likely to yield better results than trying to “squeeze in” some more stuff to your day.
Sagittarius: Your professional role takes center stage this week, but expect it is more likely to be for solving problems than moving ahead. In managing your reputation, there’s value in breaking free of norms and then fixing problems later. Attending to your responsibilities may make you do dumb things and may certainly (and repeatedly) disrupt and re-stitch your relationship with spouse or loved ones and household members. Plans to pursue hobbies or hang out with your kids are equally likely to be challenged or mis-scheduled or otherwise re-jiggered — communicate your plans clearly but try to complete one thing at a time rather than rushing on to the next thing. Spending time with friends is important but requires a judicious balancing act.
Capricorn: You always seem to schedule time with friends only when your chores are done, as though Uncle Owen from Star Wars was constantly watching over your shoulder, especially when it comes to dealign with household management. This week, you may find yourself shocked by how much professional help with a problem actually costs, but my advice is that you pay for someone else to do work that’s dangerous, risky, or potentially embarrassing if you do it wrong, yourself. Thinking through long-term problems and assessing their emotional risks in your workplace is a superpower this week — but it may require you to have some really troublesome compost dumped in your lap before you activate it.
Aquarius: Long-term plans may get the better of you this week; it’s easy to blow them out of proportion to what you can actually achieve, but it’s also going to be easier to criticize them than to course-correct. You will want more for yourself than the current situation can provide, but you’ll likely find your attention and energy is needed to help address issues in your inner circle — family and friends may need your intellectual might, your physical brawn, and your thoughtfulness and vision, in order to solve their own crises. Allow more time than usual to the management of your own daily to-do list. Leave some time for the activities that bring you contentment and peace of mind, even if it feels like you can’t accommodate them today.
