Productive Morning

Today was productive. I sat in the coffee house doing Latin flash cards and doing the first three chapter exercises in Ecce Romani I-A.

Oh, yeah. Did I mention that it looks like I’m teaching Latin next fall or the fall after that? We’re short on language teachers, and it looks like I need about two years more of Latin than I currently have, between now and September. Guess I’m going to be busy with the flash cards.

On the positive side, I have 200+ flash cards already in hand, most of which I made while I was at home visiting Mom and Dad. I just have to remember to review all of them daily, and keep adding to them over the next three months. It’s a lot to do on top of what I’m already doing, but it’s also needful in case I want to go somewhere else in a year or two.

I also shaved my beard while I was home. I’m thinking about cutting my hair, too, and donating it to one of those wigs-for-cancer-patients programs. Anyone have strong opinions either way about cutting my hair? I probably won’t do it until August, but I’m thinking about it.

First, join the league of shaven-headed men!

Second, and I’m not just saying this because Jhim wants to see every man in America in a goatee, before you shave your head, grow out a goatee so you’ve got some face hair to balance out the lack of head hair.
