Pasta Supper

One of the kids on my dorm won a Parent-Teacher Association-sponsored dinner: a home-made lasagna dinner with sauce, fresh-from-scratch bread, and so on. The dinner was tonight. So, I’ve just had eleven kids sitting in my apartment, talking and laughing and stuffing their faces.

They kept getting mad at me, telling me there wasn’t enough food, and I should stop inviting folks over to join the dinner. So I finally gave in, and stopped at eleven. Lo and behold, big talkers — You swore you’d finish all the lasagna and all the bread, and all the sauce, and all the meatballs. But here it is, there’s a whole platter of lasagna left, a whole loaf of bread, and four meatballs in the sauce, and four on the outside. Big eaters my left foot! Indeed. So much leftovers, and such complaints — “I’m stuffed!” “The cheese did me in!” “I couldn’t eat another bite!”

Ha. I mock them, lightly.

Anyone want dinner? I’ll reheat the Lasagna…

  1. Off duty, actually…

but the weekend is filling up fast.

When are you coming out? When do you have to be at 4H? When are you free over the weekend? Saturday morning for breakfast?
