Tai Chi Day 68

Good work this morning, though I only lasted 12 minutes. Breathwork was good; balance was rock-solid. It helped to do about 5 minutes of strong breathwork before I began the form, just lying in bed. My kicks were awesome. It’s gotten to the point where I can hit my right hand on Windmill Kick, and stay in the air a while. I’m no longer just swinging though the kick as fast as possible. I’ve also figured out what the right combo of steps is to move from Snake Creeps Down to Golden Pheasant. There is a trick to it, and I’ve managed it correctly for a couple of days.

After I did tai chi, I put some more clothes on and walked to the post office to mail an outgoing bill. No, the post office wasn’t open. But it was nice to be up and about in the cold, clear air. More breathwork on the walk there and back, which was nice.

Got a couple of nice e-mails from people about the Sonnet for Imbolc, which provides some nice egoboo. People really are reading that series, if not here then on one of the three e-mail lists it goes out to. That’s a good feeling, really.

More than a few people have asked for hardcopy, in the form of a book or .pdf file. I ought to start thinking about how I’m going to publish these, and what they’re going to look like. I know what I want to do, but the reality may be different. We’ll see, I think, at the end of this year when the collection of calendar pieces should be around 200 poems or so. The editorial process is already going to be a pain in the neck.

  1. If you decide you want to put them together in book form, I’d be happy to do the layout. Hell, I already have a Lulu account just begging for something to put on it, if you don’t want to create your own (not that its anyways near hard).
