I’m a little slow out of the starting gate this morning. I spent a lot of time yesterday prepping for classes and for the next couple of weeks of school, and I felt as though I was in good shape. Went to poetry, heard Jack McCarthy, who sings like a god as the poet Homer would have it, and felt really really good and upbeat and positive.
Came home, went to bed (before midnight!) having turned on the alarm.
Or so I thought. I barely made it to breakfast this morning… I had set the CLOCK instead of the alarm, so that when I woke this morning at 4 minutes of 7 (breakfast is at 7:05am), the clock thought it was almost one in the afternoon. I had set the clock right past the hour at which the alarm should have gone off, so I didn’t even get the frantic moment of waking up thinking it’s too late, and discovering it’s too early.
So I’m running a little behind this morning…
In theory my game is starting tonight. Are there any interested readers? speak up, so I can send you directions…
There’s the bell for assembly. See what I mean about running behind?
Re: crap!
Aaah! I don’t know.
Playing today wasn’t quite a disaster, but trying to make characters, handle a crisis with a parent by phone, answer questions about student homework, and thinking out loud about an Oriental Adventures game made for an interesting day….
crap!
I was going to kick around a few ideas with you on the RPG front, I didn’t realize you were starting so soon.
But really, if you start now, what about November when you’ll have to go on hiatus to finish nanowrimo?
