Wonderful Weekend

Spent Friday night having a little Beltane celebration with in Boston. We played out the defeat of the dark and the rising of the light a little bit, and we had a wonderful dinner together out on the porch beforehand.

Saturday, we got up fairly late, showered and went out to F and T’s party on their land. We danced the Maypole together, and shared some wonderful food. Then we hung out with E and T, and had dinner with them before going to V’s party in Shelburne Falls. The party lasted well past 2 in the morning or so, when we finally left, and I hope they rocked the house all night long. We follwed E home, and crashed at her place. Nice bedposts, E — you’ve collected a couple more notches for them!

Sunday, after a huge breakfast, (thank you, SF!) we drove into Amherst for the first part of the free SHakespeare Festival. It was spitting rain, so we only stayed for three scenes, from Hamlet, King Lear, and Twelfth Night. We had crepes for lunch, and then met up with C by chance when we went to the League of Women Voters book sale. From thence, we went for Ice Cream — given who I was with, of course I got “Three Geeeks and a Redhead” ice-cream. But only a medium. I didn’t want to be too greedy. After all, this was my second three geeks and a redhead of the day…

We took C home, and then drove back to Boston. I came back home this morning, to find my kitty out of water and whining piteously. He’s still whining piteously because there’s no roast beef in his supper dish. Meow!
