Morning Update

Spent ten minutes this morning hacking up gunk. Some of it was yellow, some was yellow-brown, and some unnerving chunks had a pale green color. It was unnerving, to say nothing of uncomfortable. Right now I’m breathing OK, but I’m not speaking OK. It’s so frustrating! left her address book here over the weekend, and I’m going to have to get that back to her.

Saw G, my department head, about 3 minutes ago. He reminded me that this week is our history teachers’ meeting out in western CT. Ack! We’re going to a fancy dinner and lecture on Woodrow Wilson or something. Last year it was on images of Iraq in the press; this year it’s on WW I. Last year was a real eye-opener; this year, we’ll see. But this means I’m not going to be able to see Jen and Sam this week, and I’m going to have to plan for next week.

Moreover, there’s only six weeks left in term. I’m going to have to start thinking about writing comments for each of my kids, giving grades only three times more, and grading their final research papers. Eek. I’ve only got one more weekend fully on duty, I think — No, two. Need to start planning my time a little more carefully for the next few weeks, so I can stay on top of stuff that needs to be done.

Last night, T’s PC in Parth Morren entered and began exploring the house of Dalanas Cooper, a wealthy merchant, principally a dealer in oil and wine. He’d been hired to find and break a safe in Cooper’s house, and to take a stone from the safe, and two bags of gold. The gold was his to keep, and his employer would get the stone. T thought this a great trade-off, all the risk for gold that might or might not be there. Well, last night he found out differently. I wasn’t planning on this happening, but after breaking and entering, and dealing with various defenses — T got clobbered heavily by an animated chair. Ooops.

  3. Hello grumpy boy…gunk is good. Expectorating is good. You are getting rid of the stuff that is keeping you from speaking. Remember the energy work we did yesterday pulling the stuff out? Thats what is happening….Love you , and your gunk too.

  5. Hacking: Welcome to my world :-p. This happens to me EVERY morning because of my allergies to everything. You probably need to stop the post-nasal drip…which is causing it…get some nettle tea :-).

Did you still want to do dinner tomorrow night?
