Wrenched Shoulder

I seem to have wrenched my shoulder in some fashion. The area where my collarbone connects with my neck hurts, and I cannot move my arm side to side without pain. On a scale of one to ten, with ten being “Oh, my god, shoot me full of morphine right now until I’m passed out”, I’d rate this as a three, maybe a four, with occasional jumps to five. However, I’m about to go down to fencing practice, and good sense says, “don’t fence”, because this is on the weapon side of my body, rather than the unarmed side.

Pressing down on the affected area also hurts. A quick diagnosis by our nurse on campus suggests that it’s not a broken collarbone or dislocated shoulder, and a muscle cramp is more likely. I feel like something is out of place, but the nurse says it’s an exaggeration and I’m imagining things. I’ve taken some advil but it still hurts.

  1. I have your arnica. But you might run to the store and pick up some arnica cream or gel. That might help. Advil is good too.
Someone called today with pain in their back that they thought was from shivering so much. Eek.
    Relax.
Go get some body work done.
