In today’s tai chi routine, I was aware that I was speeding up. So I let myself speed up. I did about a half-dozen steps in the routine at the faster pace. Then I shifted down, to the slower pace I’d started at. A good workout. Not all at the pace I intended to go at, but a good reminder that I’m the one in charge of how fast my tai chi routine proceeds.
