My first task this morning was not tai chi right after I got out of bed, but snow shoveling. I had to dig my car out enough so that when the plow-guy came to plow out the driveway, I wasn’t completely buried. And so it proved. I took a quick drive around the neighborhood afterward, so he had time to make an extra space or three in the turnaround behind the house, and then walked down to my local coffee place — slowly, like an old man, one or two steps and a pause at a time to avoid slipping on ice. And then back after coffee.
Tai chi was easy after that, but there was a certain stiffness in me afterward. Now. I think I overdid it on the shoveling.
