What’s worth noticing? When your daily practice has been going for more than three years, what is worth paying attention to? which elements are critical to ongoing success? What elements are just the fillip of the day? Which elements are just the small duds that are common to every occasion? What is a threat to the mission? What is just life?

I don’t know that it’s possible to answer these questions in any great detail.  Suffice it to say, I did my tai chi this morning before saying good-bye to my parents and getting on the road. Also 20 push-ups, which I’d been neglecting for a bit. And now in a routine again, I hope.
