Tai Chi Y3D323: Big Day

Yesterday was a big day. My Debate Club moot court team competed in yesterday’s qualifying round, and we won our court case — and now we advance to the quarterfinals.  Last year we made it to the semifinals… we’ll see about this year.

Tai chi practice was an uneven mix of fast and slow.  I was almost able to do what I did yesterday, and did for part of the form in the middle section.  But I wasn’t able to maintain that speed throughout.  As is usually the case, I did it the first time ‘by accident’, and now it will take me a month or more of practice to make that ‘accident’ the core of my standard practice by deliberate design.

So I’ve got my work cut out for me.

In the meantime, there’s a school day ahead of me that I have to get through, and that means getting dressed and moving on with the day.
