Taiji Day 358: a fall, and standing again

So I fell yesterday just before going out to dance. I was cleaning up my car, because we were perhaps transporting extra guests, and I needed to reset the spare tire and jack and suchlike in the right place. I slipped on a patch of snow and pulled my left leg somehow. I scraped up my leg and my back a little on the snow and ice. Consequently, I didn’t dance much yesterday and I didn’t sleep too well.

This morning’s practice was too tight and too fast as a result. Not my best effort. As I’ve said before, though, completion is sometimes more critical than perfection. The work needs to happen; it doesn’t have to be excellent. Excellence comes later.

    • Thanks. I wasn’t hurting all that much yesterday, but it was a relatively easy day of practice. Today was much better.
