Two years ago this week, I climbed the mountain. And then I climbed back down.
That story is still the most-frequently-viewed post on this website, and it’s still the most popular. When I think about that day now, I’m always astonished — that it happened, that it took so long, that we succeeded. But it’s probably one of the three or four most important experiences I’ve had as a teacher, and I still don’t know how or what I did, exactly.
I do know that it mattered a lot.
