One of the habits of good designers is apparently the process of putting their prototypes on display for development, and improvement. Before I left for California on Thursday, I posted a lot of my design materials, including the forms and procedures and photos I’d taken at my school. I told kids before I left that they had other work to do for me in class on Friday, but they were welcome to examine my ideas and improve on them — as long as they left my documents up.
Today, I’ve gotten a number of emails from students requesting the digital files from me. They want to edit and iterate my work.
Apparently I’ve just become a designer.
