RIP Benoît B. Mandelbrot

Fractal mathematics is beautiful. It’s also one of those things that we hardly ever get to in middle school or high school mathematics. And yet it illustrates the problems of complexity so well. How can we make use of this to expand our students’ world view? Is a Jonathan Coulton song enough?
