Likely Pass on Evaluation

I haven’t received my official report from my academic dean and history department chair, but it seems likely — likely — that I impressed them with my teaching abilities.

Every time I go through this process, it seems like I am expected to go through a slightly different process and a slightly different evaluation system.  It makes me nervous every time.

And I wind up spending so much time preparing for that one class… the other classes that week suffer for the concentration.  Argh.

  1. Hey — at least you’re being observed! That’s a huge step in the right direction. In my six years there, I was observed three times. In my first year at my new school, I was observed three times — and that wasn’t even a “formal” observation! (That happens during the second year and then every five years thereafter.)
