100 Days of Tai Chi

Today is Day 100 of my 100 days of Tai Chi. I had a good 20-minute workout this morning. It was very balanced, with good breath-work and good movement. I’m really proud of myself.

Time to go chop wood and draw water.

Leaving for Sicily later today.

  1. I think the only way to do it is to promise yourself that you will, and then do so.

It’s what worked for me. It helps also if you have an additional benefit in mind for when you think about it. Like, I can buy my bo staff when I’ve done a hundred days of akido training in a row or something like that.

My mom also puts gold star stickers in her date book on all the days she gets in a kayak ride, yoga, and a walk, on the same day. She gets a silver star for two out of three, and a colored star for one out of three.

  2. Thanks. I managed to keep up to date on tai chi when I was in Sicily, but I haven’t embarked on any sort of new program yet. It kind of feels like I’m treading water in anticipation of a new change. But we’ll see.

April 2 is my day to start some sort of new program.

  3. That’s really great!!!!!!!!!

Your dedication is really inspiring! If only I could get off my ass and do that, it would be GREAT!!

Have a GREAT and safe trip to Sicily, and I’ll see you when you get back!
