AG and I ran the P today. This is a standard course that runs through school and the neighbors’ property. It’s a distance of a mile and a half. He was much better able to do it than I was, but I managed to run from the gym around the P, and back to the top of the school’s driveway.
Two things come from this.
1) I may have pulled a muscle in my calf. It hurts right now. Muchly.
2) I definitely need running shoes now. I think I’m hooked on this whole “moving my body” thing.
AG and I did tai chi together afterward. He and I did it in the gym hallway downstairs, and he was pretty good for the first time through. He suggested that MC and I do a body mechanics program next march, with me doing the Tai Chi, and she doing the yoga. I’d like that. Maybe I can get J’s aikido teacher to do something in the evenings, or we can have an evening dance program, and do the whole body mechanics thing, start to finish, all types. We could also find a Zendo and have a couple of sessions on the basics of meditation.
