After much delay and difficulty, the school has finally received delivery of a 200-gallon hot water heater for my dormitory. We have been without hot water since last Friday evening, and it has become most tedious.

They are in the process of hooking up the 200-gallon tank now, and then they must reinstall the heating device that goes with it. In theory, I will have hot water tonight. I’m looking forward to it.

and I have a pretty solid weekend planned, barring weather accidents. Tonight we’re meeting up, then tomorrow I’m driving her to work, going to Willimantic for shopping, picking her up from work, and driving us to Amherst. Saturday we’re going to New Hampshire for christmas with her parents, Sunday we have plans to do something or other, and Monday she has to work again.

I have had no way to clean clothes for a third of this week, and I’m going to be gone for four days. I still have no presents for her mom, and I have to cook for the faculty Christmas party tonight. Hmm.
