Went out and got potting soil, topsoil, and humus/manure for the garden across the street. Probably didn’t get enough, but it can get supplemented later on with other ingredients from the piles and piles of decaying grass clippings and leaves behind the maintenance building. This will get us started, I hope.
Discovered the website to the local beekeeping organization, and so I can go to their annual “learn how to keep bees” meeting next year. Looks like it will cost the school a few hundred to get it going, or will cost me less. The state is thinking about sponsoring some kind of “two free hives” program to boost honeybees around here. Also need to find some local contacts and contexts, so I can do this right. There’s a couple of professional apiaries around here that I’d like to make contact with.
Grading is going… ok. I hate grading. I hate being late on my grading. What with work for White Wolf, though, grading kinda took a back seat for a while. Not sure what I’m going to do about dinner tonight. Missed school dinner while at the hardware store getting garden stuff. It’s one of the great ironies of my life that even after I add fifteen people to the friends lists on Yahoo Messenger and AOL IM… I still don’t seem to have very many people online to talk to.
Unfortunately, I have a lot of trouble adding you to my AIM list. At work, the actual AIM software will take it, but as soon as I actually log onto AOL, you get kicked right out of my buddy list and filters. I’m not sure why that happens with your SN and no one elses, but it does.
