I was supposed to leave… now… to go down to Middletown to meet my friends D and H for lunch, before proceding down across Connecticut to my parents’ house. I’m having dinner with dad tonight. I fussed aound the house — unloading the dishwasher, doing two loads of laundry, loading the dishwasher, taking out the trash, delaying departure for various reasons. It just didn’t feel right to depart.
now I know why. D just called me, “hey, Andrew, we’re not going to be able to do lunch today. H has to work, and my boss just called and needs me to go down to East Lyme.”
So, I have no lunch engagement for today.
Also, Dad finally called, and he’s not able to do anything for dinner until late — around 8 or so. So I’m now stuck. I have no lunch engagement, a very very late dinner, and no official plans to do anything in between.
Guess I’ll do another load of laundry, vacuum, and call the hotel in DC for next week. Anyone in Worcester want to come to the VBC for lunch? , want to meet me for lunch, for me to pick up my dishes, or both? Not much else to do, no?
I’ll ask them.
Though-for us we are too big for our building so it is kind of a problem if we have too many calls. We are too big for our building.
Oh well.
Just another day.
