Apparently, the druids are getting mighty interesting.
A good writing day today: 3200 words. Another day like that and a couple of useful sections of my project will be done. It may be that I’ll be able to crank out the rest of the section I’m working on this evening. Right now, though, I’m suffering from butt cramp. I’ve been sitting at the desk since this morning, and I think I need to go for a walk around for a while. Still, I’m hopeful I can produce another few days like that in a row. That would be grand.
My colleague G asked me yesterday what I’ve read this summer, and I mentioned that I’d read a book of a friend of mine, about art and science. He was only mildly intrigued, but I didn’t tell him the title, which might have interested him more. He asked what else I’d read this summer — and I drew a blank. Other than stuff for this writing project, and The Book, and a book about King Arthur, I haven’t really read anything this summer. Ack! I’m slipping. I used to read several thousand pages every summer, and here it is nearly the Ides of July, and I’ve not read anything.
In the UK, if he’d been attacked by malfesiants, if he drew blade and struck down his attackers, he’d be jailed. In the US, we’d likely give him a medal but think he was a bittle odd for not carrying a real weapon.
