Sick Cat

Arrived home from sweet, sweet night with in Boston, to a house smelling sour of cat urine and feces. There are droplets of diarrhea everywhere, and little patches of vomit, and places where he’d pissed before he could get to the litter box. He looks so mopey and unhappy. I cleaned off his butt, which looks terribly sore, and cleaned his water dish and his food dish. Right now, he’s wrapped up in a warm blanket in the living room, not making much noise but an occasional yowl.

I don’t have a vet for him yet. I’ve owned him way too long to not have a vet, and yet I don’t have a vet. So… here I am, calling around trying to find a doc who will take a sick cat and a new patient at the same time. Not having much luck. There’s an animal hospital somewhere west beyond Eastford; I may have to go there.

Also learned I have to get my driver’s license renewed. For this, I will need a new eye exam, new glasses, a complete physical, and the registration fee. I will also need to get my car’s emissions inspection completed, as well. Sigh. I shouldn’t have stopped at the post office…

My god, what do you drive? A fighter jet?

    Hope El Gato recovers quickly.
