Throat gunk

Yesterday, a visiting parent and I sat together in the school’s lounge for about 10 minutes. She coughed twice, and apologized. “I have a throat infection of some kind,” she said, “and I’m having a hard time getting rid of it.”

Last night, I woke about 3:30 with a dry, itchy throat. I feel cruddy from lack of sleep, and my breathing is slightly impaired. Oh, and I’m coughing.

Yet another bug has come to the hill. Joy.

In other news, the first part of my freelance payment came in, the second part should be underway in the near future, and the third part will arrive sometime this summer. I’m putting them in my savings account, and working on building up some personal savings. My car is at 108,000 miles, and I may need to replace or repair the car soon.

There is a new job possibility at school for me. Several jobs are getting shuffled around, and I’m on a short list of three candidates to take over one particular job. It’s very detail oriented, which I’m not really good at; it’s got a lot of writing, which I’m good at, but all in the same form, year after year; there’s lots of deadlines, which I don’t handle so well; and it means dealing with a lot of difficult parents. It also means giving up a lot of teaching responsibilities, I suspect. I’m not sure it’s really my cup of tea. But I feel like I have to go and check it out, and find out what’s the deal.

Drink herbal tea-take extra vitamin C, Zinc & Garlic. You should be all set…
Congratulations on the job consideration. It might be good on the resume for other job possibilities in the future. Like Exeter or something like that….
