BEST Dialogue of the Day

“Anyway, my grandson is on Isle Royal, and I let him know that I knew something about it. I’m from Michigan originally, as you know.”

“I didn’t know that. How did a straight-talking Midwesterner like yourself wind up here in Connecticut among us duplicitous Yankees?”

“Oh, because I’m from Kalamazoo.”

  1. Would you and your gentleman like to come out to CT for fire spinning and fire-breathing display and practice and potluck on Saturday night (tomorrow)?

Then you could offer congrats in person!

  2. Having been to Kalamazoo, that makes perfect sense.

By the way, a big, big, big congratulations to you and your lovely lady on the handfasting. I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there, I was stuck doing a horribly tacky wedding at the shop (sometimes they’re Martha Stewart, sometimes they’re Jerry Springer). I would much rather have been at your ceremony. I also apologize for the belated congrats. I am woefully overbooked lately, and and aware that that’s no excuse, so consider me chastened.
    Hugs to both of you!
