Hail, lady Moon, when autumn creeps in, wet,
and drip-drop-dripping on ferns turned yellow.
Red squirrel runs errands, starting to fret
that nights are colder, and days more mellow:
he plants the oaks of the next century,
and prays to you that his younglings survive.
Ants march homeward as ordered infantry:
their hidden halls must keep their kind alive
when streambeds long dry refill with water,
when leaves beging tumbling from the beech.
Harvest hugs the world: all life needs fodder
as summertime slowly slips out of reach.
Crickets transpose and mute their constant song,
knowing frost must overtake them, ere long.
Thanks to for the transposition idea from his Gossamer Commons piece in the webcomics telethon. It set the right tone for what I’m hearing these days, and feeling…
water
Definately would love to still have you read water. Be it in form of a blessing that is all inclusive, as we dip our rings into the bowl.

THat’s fine. I don’t know where you are, but it’s about 45 minutes from Java Hut to here.
I think it’s going to be you, me, Leah, Jesse and maybe John. That’s probably about it. We’ll have a rainy day barbeque and see what happens.
Thank you , Sir Wordsmith!

Great.
I’ll be picking up Jay from work and then we’ll come by.
Hopefully it will have stopped raining by then 🙂
Speaking of the Potluck, I’ll swing by, but I’ve been unable to cook, so I’ll just bring some humus and pita bread, if that isn’t a problem.

Yes, it’s still on. We’ll grill on the porch and sit indoors, I guess.
Please feel free to come on down. At the least I can return your movie to you (which we finally watched), and we can watch something else, or play a game, or something.
Hey there
What’s going on for the potluck tonight. It’s suppose to rain. Will you still be having a get together even if the rain cancels Riverfire?
