is not feeling well this morning. She came back after poetry last night, intending to get up and get on the road early. Instead, she’s feeling unhappy and uncomfortable in my bed. We had a really sweet weekend for all of that, including a pleasant time at the Tower Hill Botanic Gardens in Boylston, where I was part of the poetry reading for Flora in Winter. and I had a sweet lunch there, followed by the reading, followed by some walking and driving-around. Then we had dinner with and . Thanks for having us for dinner, and lettting us watch Teen Titans with you!

Despite it being almost 7:30 am, the campus is quiet. I think the school was issued a late sleep this morning, to compensate for the SuperBowl. It’s odd — how many schools get a late start on account of a football game the night before? If it’s the usual late-sleep schedule, we will miss the first two classes of the day — possibly three. In which case, my writing class will miss out, my ninth grade history class will miss out, and my student A. will miss out on his tutoring session. All for a lousy football game.

Oh, right. Go Pats. Whatever.

Felt a twinge about 6:00am that I thought might be the Stone, starting to come out. If so, it’s stopped, and didn’t come back. The twinge lasted all of thirty seconds, down in my groin area. The last time I had such a twinge I was in the presence of my old mas– er, was a week ago last Thursday, when the Stone moved and I was in pain for two hours. The doc said the Stone might have moved as much as six or eight inches from that episode. If so, this morning, the Stone merely rocked a little bit, back and forth.

I want this thing out.
