Well, the cat still hasn’t moved, still hasn’t eaten, still hasn’t drunk water. He sits in his corner of the bathroom, behind the toilet bowl, and when he’s forced to walk, he walks with a certain drunken stance, listing a little from side to side. My friend Jane says that one of her painter’s cats is sick, with a liver disease transmitted through the air. That would suck. Does anyone know if this is the case?
Mom and Dad are basically urging that it’s time to put the cat to sleep, but doing so in a very restrained, very non-in-your-face kind of way.
Dad asked me for a walk, just-us-guys, on the beach tomorrow, 7am. Joy.

My friend…it is now time to consider the quality of life vs. quantity of it. Something is wrong with Geordie, and if it is a liver issue (transmitted through the air? What the hell could that be?) or even a neurological one, it might be kinder to let a vet do the thing we all wish could be avoided…

How old is Geordie? I’ve had cats all my life, and I’ve had to make this call a few times now. It comes down to quality of life. In my experience, when they stop eating, they are just waiting for their time to come. I am sorry you are experiencing this tough part of loving and caring for another being, but its all part of the deal. Kepp us posted, K?
