Cat Update III

Well, the cat is still sick. He’s now on a 14-day course of antibiotics (, how do you feel about giving a dropper-full of antibiotics to Geordie twice a day on Tuesday, and Wednesday, and once on Monday night, and once on Thursday morning? I may have to cancel my trip home, and 4th of July plans… argh). He threw up this morning, and he’s got this drool problem, and it’s kinda sad and silly and worrisome and upsetting and funny all at the same time. Two days of antibiotics, and he should show some improvement. So far, nothing much. Just more unhappiness.

Last night we had dinner with and her compadres at Thai Cha-Da. and I really enjoyed meeting them, and getting the five of us together. I’m hoping will come to Worcester sometime soon and perform, but maybe that’s a long-range hope.

is currently on the phone with Tiana, trying to arrange a get-together with her and Forrest and us. That’d be lovely. I am going to have to do some reading in Forrest’s book before we get together.

  1. Catastrophe

Actually, discussing the cat situation with on the ride to Worcester tonight, it became clear that I really need to take him home with me to my parents, and take care of him myself for at least the first week of his antibiotic treatment. It’s not ideal, but administering antibiotics is never ideal. Alas.

Are you available for coffee in the morning? I’m not planning on going to my parents’ house until later in the morning.

  2. Hey there
Can’t do Monday night (or any night for that matter)as we’ll be in Worcester until fairly late. I’m not very comfy giving cats that aren’t mine (even my own) antibiotics…but if you want me to, I can try it out. I worry about watching over him if he’s still sick though…especially since he’ll be alone most of the time.

I’m sorry we can’t get to your reading tonight. On the way home today we realized that we only have enough money for 1 more tank of gas…which will be aikido Monday-Friday until Jay gets paid again (hopefully it’ll last that long.

Yup. I’m going to jump in the shower, and probably walk to the VBC to do some homework around 8:30. Maybe I’ll see you there!!
