It’s just after 6am, and I’ve been up for two hours. Much coffee consumed last night, and yet I felt sleepy almost immediately on the drive home. Then, BOOM, 4am, awake! During that time, I’ve been writing. Or trying to write. One of my students gave me a really nice fountain pen for Christmas. Only trouble is, it doesn’t write. Not consistently.
I need a new fountain pen. And this time, I’m going to go to the store, try out the one I want, and buy the one that writes with a clean line. Not a fancy titanium pen that won’t (or more specifically, CAN’T) gradually adapt itself to writing easily and properly. The thing’s been a nuisance.
